Khalid Rafi is Chairman- Board of Directors at Si3 and is a Founding Member. Khalid is one of the most eminent personalities in Pakistan's corporate landscape. Prior to establishing Si3, Khalid was Senior Partner of A.F. Ferguson & Co. (a member firm of PricewaterhouseCoopers). He was elected Senior Partner of Ferguson in 1984 and administered tremendous growth as Ferguson expanded from a four partner firm to a twenty-two partner firm. With Khalid at its helm, Ferguson became the largest and most prestigious tax and auditing firm in the country, recognized for its impeccable integrity and unsurpassed competency.
Khalid is a Chartered Accountant with over thirty-five years of expertise in auditing and taxation for the largest corporations in Pakistan. He has counseled widely on mergers and acquisitions, floatation of companies, corporate governance and financial and tax planning. Being a distinguished and respected senior executive in local and global business circles, Khalid routinely transacts at the top-level with assorted government ministries, State Bank of Pakistan, Central Board of Revenue and Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan.
Khalid is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, as well as Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan. He has served as President of Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan and also as President of Management Association of Pakistan.
Khalid is also Chairman of the following companies with diverse business interests; Tecsol Associates collaborates with organizations in Pakistan 's social sector to alleviate poverty and enhance literacy, besides conducting trading activities; Ferguson Associates is the premier Business Advisory and Consultancy firm in Pakistan ; Swede Bus Pakistan is activating a greener urban transportation culture.
