Si3 was the exclusive sponsor to the country’s largest e-Sporting event of the year which was hosted by Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). The event is called ‘LAGAN’ (LUMS Annual Gaming Arcane Nationals). For the first time in the history of Pakistan’s e-Sporting all the top teams from all regions of Pakistan were engaged in a head to head combat. Whether they were CS players or the best in Warcraft Dota, all were put to the test.

LAGAN 2008 was a three day event, from March 28 to March 30, 2008. Si3 being the exclusive sponsor was present at the venue for all three days and had good interaction with the student body. “LAGAN powered by Si3” is the first ever sponsorship of a LUMS event on such a large scale by a blue chip IT Services company.

The Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO) opted to hold their plenary meeting in Karachi June 26 - June 27, 2006. This is a great privilege for Pakistan as ASOCIO collectively represents 10000 companies and US$200 billion in revenue.

The delegation comprised of around 25 senior people from the 27 economies that ASOCIO represents which includes Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, India, Bangladesh, Korea, etc.

All banks in Pakistan are now running on local or foreign banking applications. More than 50% of the total bank branches are online. The number of ATMs is increasing at a rapid pace and more than 900 ATMs have already been installed. Banks are offering mobile, web-based and phone banking facilities to their customers.
